Delete your Habla data
Habla (habla-app.com) lets you delete parts of your data from inside the app without closing your account. Both controls below are in the app's Settings screen and require you to be signed in, so we know it's really you. If you want everything gone, use full account deletion instead.
1. Reset language profile
Settings → Danger zone → Reset language profile
Immediately deletes from Habla's application database:
- All practice sessions, including per-session data that is removed with them (focus targets and topic overrides)
- All session transcripts
- Conversation topics the tutor remembered from your sessions
- Your grammar and skill focus items
- The tutor's written narratives about your learning
- Your estimated CEFR level (cleared), and your diagnostic state is reset so the tutor re-assesses you from scratch
It keeps: your account and sign-in, profile and settings, subscription, vocabulary cards, personal facts you've shared with the tutor, your communication-style profile, and reliability/diagnostic logs.
2. Delete your communication-style data
Settings → Privacy → Communication-style analysis → Turn off & delete data
Turns the analysis off and immediately deletes the communication-style (personality-cue) profile Habla built from your conversations.
It keeps: your sessions and transcripts, and all other learning and account data.
Important to know
- Both actions take effect immediately and are irreversible in Habla's application database. There is no undo.
- Deleting sessions and transcripts removes them from Habla's application database. Audio and text that was already processed by our speech provider (ElevenLabs) is not automatically purged by these actions and remains subject to ElevenLabs' own retention until a supported erasure request with that provider is completed.
